BSA UTSG has joined the #BacharLorai movement that is bringing together Bangladeshi expatriates, citizens, and grassroots organizations in the fight against COVID-19.
@BacharLorai and BSA @ UTSG have come together with six other BSAs in Canada to inspire new initiatives during this crucial time and facilitate existing efforts. We call on all members & affiliates of BSA UTSG to join our fight against COVID-19 by supporting our first partnership with the #BacharLorai movement. There have been 137,787 confirmed cases and 1738 deaths in Bangladesh (as of 29th June 2020). With only 4 beds per 10000 people (world bank) and less than 1300 intensive care beds (DGHS) for a population of 162 million, the health care system in Bangladesh continues to be in a major crisis.
