The Bangladeshi Students’ Association at UTSG kicked off the academic year with “Hok Kolorob,” a vibrant welcoming event held on September 13th at Queen’s Park. This engaging event featured delightful tea, delicious snacks, and vibrant outdoor socialising. Attendees were encouraged to bring picnic blankets, fostering a sense of community and togetherness. Named after Arnob’s song, “Hok Kolorob,” meaning “let there be cacophony,” reflects the celebration of diverse voices coming together in harmony. The event symbolised breaking free from societal norms, embracing diversity, and creating an inclusive space for all. It was a joyful start to the year, highlighting the spirit of unity and the excitement of meeting new faces.
