In a groundbreaking collaboration with Bachar Lorai, the Bangladeshi Students’ Association hosted a pivotal discussion on menstrual health, shining a light on the specific challenges encountered by Bangladeshi international students. This inclusive event, open to all, marked a significant step towards destigmatizing menstrual health conversations within our community. We emphasised the importance of male participation, inviting attendees to bring their male friends or brothers, thus fostering a supportive environment for breaking long-standing taboos. The dialogue was tailored, insightful, and embraced the complexities surrounding menstrual health, contributing to a broader understanding and empathy. The event successfully cultivated a space of learning and solidarity, encouraging open discussions and promoting a more inclusive community dialogue around a traditionally sensitive topic.
